Criticism in Democracy

- Prof. Kawaldeep Singh Kanwal

When you're in a democracy be ready for the criticism, even if it is a total opposition. If you're not having the capacity of digestion for criticism, you are not at all a Democracy Material.
As far as support is concerned then its neither an imposed thing nor could be taken for granted in all situations, it is inherent rather, based upon the various parameters in a deemed to be democratic system.
If someone uses the right to criticize all of one's opponents, for one or other deed(s) of theirs, utilizing the right assured by a democratic system, then the one and the supporters of same should have to be ready for the similar doze of it, in many multitudes though from all corners, supporters and opponents, due to the structure of the very system applicable for all other citizens too.
The Fatwa for blind support or opposition is not a democratic way of election, not to be asked in any manner by anyone at any stage.

- Prof. Kawaldeep Singh Kanwal

The revolution which doesn't mend the mind, not elevates the conscious, not comes from within, not rejuvenates the conduct, not inculcates values in the character, is just a patchy and cosmetic cover-up of short-term, bounds to fade away merely with the whiffs of reality and practicality.

Synthetic Nationalism and Separatism

- Prof. Kawaldeep Singh Kanwal

Opposing synthetic nationalism is in itself opposing separatism of all kinds ! Synthetic Nationalism and separatism are synonyms, indeed, if analysed based upon their approach of hatred for all those who are left outside the bandwidths of their narrowed spectrum(s).

Inclusive Identity, in mature terms, is the need of this union of numerous nationalities, as binding agent, which begins with first recognizing the Nations within this very Union as separate existences in terms of their own DIFFERENT and indigenous cultures, faith practices, ethnicity, languages or many others, then the very second of ensuring their esteem, pride and dignity as separate (not separatist) existence and the third and most important of protecting and safeguarding their rights of individual voices with constitutional checks in a manner that no fundamental decisions (even in future) in the framework of such would be taken without including their says and reservations honorably.

When we talk of Love, its not only towards someone(s) we feel or rather assume as our own, then in case it merely gets reduced to, degraded to, just the lust, no piousness of Love left at all, in such, if it is not flowing in its free flow, omnidirectional, inherently undiscriminating.

Extreme rigidity in theism and in atheism as well is highly grievous and destructive not only for the individual but for the society as a whole.

Immoderate theism take the colours of fanatic fundamentalism while on other hand uncontrolled inordinate inclination towards godlessness leads to totalitarian tyrannical behaviours ..
